Updating windows live messenger
As Skype and Windows Live Messenger are both owned by Microsoft now, the company decided to shut down the latter, forcing existing Messenger users to update to the former.
Though for certain regions, Microsoft is still keeping the service alive and its servers running .
Just click on “Start”, and be patient until the Messenger comes back from dead.
Apparently the issue is being caused by calendar synchronization, and if you disable calendar sync, Live Mail 2012 will work without issues.Are you one of those who can’t seem to get used to forced transition from Windows Live Messenger to Skype?
